This was my first time eating Korean tofu stew in Taitung, and I didn't have high expectations, but this place exceeded my expectations.
For the broth of the tofu stew, there are two types to choose from: one is beef broth and the other is seafood broth. There are plenty of ingredients to choose from, including clams, beef, pork, fresh shrimp, fresh fish, and kimchi flavors, so you don't have to worry about not finding something you like. I give the broth a perfect score; you can really tell it's homemade, and every sip is fresh and sweet. Plus, afterwards, I wasn't left feeling thirsty. I didn't believe my colleague when they said I would finish the broth by the end, but I really did! 🤣 Also, I chose the pot that added cheese, which added a layer of salty sweetness to the soup.
The tofu is very soft and tender, but I can't really tell if it's handmade or factory-made. The meat was also fresh and didn't have that cheap meat slice feeling that some hot pot restaurants do. Every pot comes with Korean seaweed, which pairs perfectly. I highly recommend everyone come and try it.
