Fano Italian Kitchen is an Italian restaurant that takes a budget-friendly approach, focusing on generous portions and affordable prices, making its overall positioning quite clear. The decor of the restaurant is simple and unadorned, not particularly extravagant, but the dining atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. For those who want a hot serving of pasta without spending too much money, it is indeed a practical choice.

This time, I ordered the Baked Penne with Chicken in Pesto Sauce. When it was served, I could feel the generous portion; there was plenty of penne and a good amount of chicken, providing a noticeable sense of fullness. The pesto flavor is mild, not too overpowering, carrying a basic aroma of basil. Although it isn’t very refined, it goes down easily and isn’t greasy.

I paid an extra 40 NT dollars to upgrade to a baked version, and I originally expected a thick layer of melted cheese, but the actual amount of cheese was somewhat conservative. The surface did have a cheesy aroma, but the stringiness was not prominent, and it lacked that satisfying richness that covers the entire dish. If there had been a bit more cheese, the overall quality would have been better.

The chicken had a normal texture, not dry, and paired well with the penne. The noodles were slightly soft but still within an acceptable range and reasonable considering the price point.

The accompanying Creamy Corn Soup was standard fare, with a familiar taste and texture that falls within the typical restaurant version; there were no special surprises, but it served its purpose as a side dish.

Overall, Fano Italian Kitchen’s biggest advantage is its high cost-performance ratio and generous portions. The meals do not aim for sophistication or creativity, but strike a good balance between price and fullness. If you set your expectations on "cheap, filling, and decent tasting," this place would be a quite reasonable choice.
