Honda Chicken is located on Section 1 of Dunhua South Road, about a three-minute walk from the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station. This area can be considered one of the liveliest and most vibrant parts of the Eastern District.
Today, I enjoyed the Lion's Head Chicken Rice, priced at 165 NTD.
Lion's Head Chicken Rice:
The size of the Lion's Head is indeed quite substantial, presenting a nice visual appeal upon serving. When cut open, the filling is moist and juicy, not dry at all. The chicken rice portion maintains the consistent standards of this chain, with stable flavors. The boneless chicken thigh is tender and delicious, and the chicken skin has a bouncy texture that leaves a strong impression.
In terms of side dishes, the cabbage has a delicate texture with minimal coarse fibers. The scallion sauce and chili perform excellently, being rich and appetizing.
However, adding an extra Lion's Head costs 40 NTD more than the basic version. If considering cost-effectiveness, the chicken rice priced at 125 NTD is actually more appealing for repeat purchases.
Overall, it is a typically average chicken meal box chain. This series of shops uses a consistent white background with black text for their signs; the variety of shop names is clearly intended to avoid certain taxes associated with chain establishments.
The interior space is relatively spacious, seating arrangements are not crowded, and the overall environment is clean and tidy, with a self-service recycling system after dining.
I recommend it to everyone.
