The restaurant Aligang Goose is located in the Xin Dian City area. The nearest MRT station is Qizhang Station Exit 1, about a 5-minute walk. Aligang has two other locations in Taipei City, but they do not have separate branch names.
The left half of the store is the kitchen, and the right half is the seating area with about 30 seats, simply decorated.
After seating yourself, you take a paper menu, fill it out, and give it to the staff. You pay after your meal, and only cash is accepted; no invoices.
Today I ordered the following:
🔸 Goose rice set meal $150
There are about 7–8 slices of goose, and the thickness is decent. The goose is quite tasty and boneless, making it easy to eat. The rice is drizzled with goose oil, giving it a wonderful aroma, and there are side ingredients of bamboo shoots and a fried egg. The set meal comes with a small bowl of pork blood cake soup, which has a regular flavor.
🔸 Goose offal noodles $100
The soup base is relatively mild, with a lot of fried shallots that I don't personally enjoy. The offal mainly consists of liver and intestines, and the portion is quite generous. Worth the price.
🔸 Bamboo shoots (small) $50
The shoots are tender, and the seasoning is not too heavy.
🔸 Fried tofu $15
Fairly ordinary but tasty.
I arrived close to closing time and was seated. The staff remained very friendly, and the meal came at a moderate pace. The prices are slightly higher, but the quality is quite good, making it worth a revisit.
