What's impressive is the high cost-performance ratio. For 300 NT dollars, you can get a large steak, an egg, noodles, and unlimited self-service curry rice, as well as daikon beef soup, corn chowder, and cheap ice cream.
I ordered the American flank steak for 300 NT, with the sauce on the side. It was quite thin and didn't have much meat flavor. I wouldn't call it very tasty.
Another person ordered the thick, chunky steak for 310 NT, which was requested medium rare but was quite bloody when cut open; however, the beef flavor was richer!
Later, we asked the restaurant to cook it a little more, and when it was served again, it had been cut into small pieces.
My favorite item is probably the daikon soup... the broth is sweet and fresh, and I could still taste a lot of beef scraps ~ the daikon was also stewed very tender. I felt it was nice to be able to drink this soup at an affordable steak restaurant, so I had two bowls 🥰.
