🍤 Nihonbashi Tempura Rice Bowl Specialty Store! The Main Store Serves Authentic Crispy Tempura Rice Bowl

I had been wanting to try Kaneko Hannosuke, which also has a branch in Taiwan, but I never did because of the long lines. This day, I happened to pass by the main store and thought the queue was acceptable, so I decided to give it a try.

While waiting in line on the first floor, there was water available to drink. When there were about five people left in front of me, someone came to take our orders. The rice bowl itself does not come with miso soup, so you need to order that separately if you want it.

The seating on the second floor is quite cramped; if there are few customers, you might have to share a table with others. Since I had ordered in advance, my food arrived quickly. I chose the basic Edomae Tempura Rice Bowl, and when it was served, I was shocked by how large the bowl was. I had ordered it with less rice, and I still almost couldn't finish it.

The sauce itself has a delicious salty-sweet flavor, but I added some pickled burdock and ginger slices to cut through the richness. The specially made seasoning was similar to shichimi powder and was great with its mild spiciness from a mix of Japanese spices.

About halfway through my meal, I could cut open the fried soft-boiled egg and mash it into the rice. The creamy texture of the egg yolk enveloping the rice grains was absolutely perfect!

For those wanting to try the flavor of this store, it's definitely worth a visit when you have the chance!
