Actually, I usually don't pay much attention to vegetarian restaurants, but since some colleagues who are vegetarian chose this place for a gathering, we decided to go there. The food looked appealing and photogenic. On that day, we ordered the daily special, and here's a brief introduction.
▪️ Good Morning Rice Ball with Vegetables $290
(Egg and dairy / Vegan option with plant-based egg + $15)
Good Morning Mushroom Rice Ball, Edamame Shiso Plum Rice Ball, Sesame Sauce / Japanese Style Sauce (vegan) with Vegetable Salad, Soft-boiled Egg / Plant-based Egg, Homemade Sweet Potato Cubes, Seasonal Fruit, Black Tea or Soy Milk Miso Soup
· Choose Sesame Sauce / Soft-boiled Egg / Soy Milk Miso Soup
The rice balls were much larger than I expected, and the flavors were quite unique. The one with the shiso plum had a pleasantly sweet and sour taste, while the rice ball was rather bland. The sesame sauce was delicious, making the salad pretty good. I thought the standout was the sweet potato cubes, which were very tasty! The portion was generous too. The soy milk miso soup was quite unique with a mild flavor. Finally, there were three types of fruits, but the portions were a bit small.
Overall, the meal was quite good and felt light. I just thought there were a bit too many starches. The environment was comfortable, and cutlery and water were self-serve. Many colleagues ordered the flower sauce cheese tamagoyaki sandwich, which also had a decent portion. However, for a meatless meal, it still felt a bit pricey at this price point.
