"New Goken" specializes in rich traditional Japanese curry rice.
Breeze opened a branch on the 2nd floor of Taipei Main Station.
I was attracted by the retro-decorated facade of this restaurant.
I also happened to want to eat curry rice at the same time.
So I decided to give it a try!
The store was full at the time.
Luckily I didn't have to wait long to get a seat.
This curry sauce is based on a stock made from a large amount of vegetables and fruits.
The curry sauce is thick and spicy, with rich flavors.
Salty, sweet and slightly spicy.
The food tastes good overall
Although it is not astonishing
But it's quite delicious, nothing to fault.
Overall, it lacks a sense of surprise and the price/performance ratio is OK, but you don’t need to make a special trip there.
It would be nice to find a location at CNR Holidays.
