Tainan street food is all about eating at old shops, and this one has been operating for who knows how long, still requiring a line early in the morning. It seems like there are mostly local customers, as many are bringing their own containers for takeout. The environment is clean and bright, and the food is served quickly.
I remember that when dining in or taking out, you have to draw a number first. There’s no need to stand in line as they call out numbers. The menu includes soup, rice noodles, and noodles, with a combination option available. There’s a big guy who is dedicated to frying the snapper, and it feels like they can never fry enough to keep up with the demand. The soup is light and moderately thick, and the rice noodles and noodles come with large pieces of snapper. Eating in the morning doesn’t feel heavy; after finishing, I felt full of energy, marking a great start to a beautiful day.
