Location: London, England
After visiting Cambridge University, I returned to King's Cross Station, where there is a real Platform 9¾. After wandering around the station, I rushed to the pizza place I had researched beforehand because the reviews online stated it had great value for money. Filled with anticipation, I stepped into the restaurant.
🌟 Pepperoni
It has a texture similar to American-style sausage. The base is primarily tomato sauce, but with the seasoned sausage, the flavor is heavier compared to others. It's perfect for a guilty pleasure like pizza, and it truly deserves its top recommendation online.
🌟 Tropicali
This is what everyone commonly refers to as Hawaiian pizza. Since my personal favorite flavor is Hawaiian, I found that the taste is quite similar to what I've had in Taiwan. Overall, while it may lack distinctiveness, I still gave it a high score because I love Hawaiian pizza.
🌟 I can't finish pizza without a drink, so I chose the boring Coca-Cola. However, the price for the Coke is quite steep, costing £1.90 for a cup (which is similar to Taiwan where drinks are quite profitable 🥺).
Overall, the pizza crust is a type of wood-fired thin crust. By the end, I could truly taste the aroma of the dough, and unlike in Taiwan, I don’t find myself discarding the last bits of crust. The best part is that this restaurant is right next to one of the biggest stations in London and is surprisingly affordable yet delicious. We ordered two whole 12-inch pizzas for just over £20, which is an amazing deal. I highly recommend everyone to try it if you visit King's Cross Station to see the Harry Potter Platform 9¾!
