阿源小吃
Ayuan Snack must be one of the most famous snack shops in Jhiben City, so I decided to stop by to try it out while visiting Taitung's Light Festival.
However, the first thing I encountered was a bit frustrating: the speed of food delivery was very slow. I wasn't sure if it was due to insufficient staff or other reasons, but I later realized that their cooking logic is that if someone orders the same dish as a previous customer, they will cook them together. But if by chance nobody orders the same thing, you will have to wait a very long time.
As for the food, it leans towards Southern Taiwan's taste, so it tends to be a bit sweet. Many people order their mixed soup noodles, and the ingredients are basically similar to those in pot-roasted noodles, with the only difference being the type of noodle, which is replaced with plain noodles. The soup also has a slightly burnt flavor. The braised pork rice and vegetables are average.
To be honest, the food is not bad; it's fairly decent for a snack shop. However, the slow delivery speed greatly diminishes its attractiveness to customers.
