I went to a popular yakitori restaurant in Umeda 🐔
It's called Umeda Yakitori Club and is located in a building within the Ohatsu Tenjin shopping street 🏙️. The restaurant is extremely popular and was fully booked even on a weekday night 🈵.
Here's an introduction to the restaurant ⬇️:
Grand opening at Ohatsu Tenjin on October 25, 2023. They serve serious yakitori directly from a chicken meat shop. They use a rare breed of free-range chicken, "Kano Jidori," which can only be found in Tottori. The menu boasts a firm texture unique to free-range chickens and tightly muscled meat. Skilled artisans skewer each piece daily at the shop and grill them with Kishu Binchotan charcoal. You can enjoy deeply flavored meat from long-term feeding, as well as rare cuts that only a chicken meat shop can provide.
There are counter seats and table seats, and you can see the grilling happening right in front of you at the counter 🔥.
Drinks:
Yuzu Otome Cider ✨
Japanese Wild Grape Squash 🍇
Draft Beer 🍺
Yuzu Otome Sour ✨
Oolong Tea 🐦⬛
The Yuzu Otome Cider was refreshing and incredibly delicious ✨.
Potato Salad from the Yakitori restaurant 🥔:
On top of the beautifully shaped potato salad, there was a soft-boiled egg 🥚 and mayonnaise. I broke the egg and enjoyed it 🥚. The potato salad itself was delicious, with a rich yolk and creamy mayonnaise; it was truly tasty! The texture and combination of the grainy mustard that accompanied it was also great 🔥.
Rare Chicken Tender Tempura 🐔:
Served with sweet sauce, salt, and wasabi 🔥. It was beautifully cooked and incredibly delicious ✨. The flavor of the tempura was excellent, with a tasty seaweed essence 🥰. The sauce, salt, and wasabi were all delicious, particularly the combination of salt and wasabi, which I really liked. 😍
Chicken Thigh Tartare 🐔:
Served with soy sauce, salt, and wasabi 🔥. The skin was nicely grilled🔥, while the meat was dense and rich in flavor, making it extremely tasty 🐔. Everything was delicious when paired with soy sauce, salt, and wasabi, but I particularly enjoyed the salt and wasabi combo 🥰.
Yakitori:
Salt Wasabi Chicken Tender 🐔:
Soft, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the wasabi flavor, it was delicious 🐔.

The rich seseri combined with the refreshing grated daikon ponzu was delicious 🐔.
Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps with Salt 🐷🥬:
The pork belly was packed with crispy lettuce, making a juicy, crispy combination, and the pork was nicely grilled and delicious 🐷🥬.
Chicken Tender and Avocado Mille-Feuille 🐔🥑:
Beautifully plated, I broke the egg yolk and mixed it with the sauce before eating 🐔🥑🥚. The soft chicken tender combined with the rich sauce and yolk was incredibly delicious 🐔. Crunchy chicken gizzard added a nice texture, and the pairing of wasabi and seaweed was perfect 🐔.
Homemade Chicken Shumai 🐔:
Served in a steaming basket 🔥, it came with vinegar soy sauce and mustard 🔥. The fluffy shumai was delicious with a wonderful crunchy texture 🐔. It had a strong flavor, and even enjoyed on its own, it was superb 🥰. It paired well with the vinegar soy sauce and mustard too ✨.
Cold Chicken Soba 🐔:
Handmade soba prepared fresh daily✨. I had it with salt 🧂, wasabi 🔥, and dipping sauce. They recommend eating it with salt, and when I did, the flavor of the soba really came through and was delicious 🥰. The wasabi and dipping sauce were also tasty, and the chicken was tender and flavorful 🐔.
Today's Pasta 🍝:
Tomato cream pasta with bacon and eggplant 🍝:
The crispy bacon 🥓 and juicy eggplant were combined with the tomato cream pasta 🍅🍆. The tomato in the sauce was rich and blended well with the cream, making it delicious 🍅. The pasta was well-coated in the sauce, and it was incredibly tasty 🥰.
Every menu item was delicious, and I understand why this place is so popular‼️
