The Hang Noodle Shop Donghu branch is located in a lane on Donghu Road in Neihu District, near the Donghu MRT Station, which is about a five-minute walk away.
Today, I enjoyed the signature clam pasta, priced at 160 TWD.
Signature Clam Pasta:
You can choose the sauce, noodle type, and spiciness level.
I chose meat sauce, flat noodles, and medium spiciness.
There were quite a few clams, and the meat sauce had a slight thickness to it.
The clam meat was tender, without a fishy taste, and although there were two that were a bit closed, once opened, they were still plump and juicy.
The pasta was cooked just right, retaining the unique chewiness of the flat noodles.
Interestingly, the medium spiciness was hardly spicy at all...
But at least the restaurant has Tabasco available for self-service, so it was still enjoyable to eat.
Overall, it's an affordable Italian pasta restaurant.
The dining area is very lively during meal times, so there may be a slight wait, but because the interior space is spacious, the table turnover rate is relatively high, and the waiting time usually isn’t too long.
There is a self-service drink bar, which offers good value for this price point.
The shop uses a QR code and English code ordering system, which is simple and easy to understand; for example, the code for the signature clam pasta is 5A.
If I get the chance to visit again, I would like to try the stir-fried pasta.
I recommend it to everyone!
