Located in Taitung City, "Yi Huai Sheng E Hui Shu" is an Italian pasta restaurant with an interesting and humorous name. The space is not large, but it has a relaxed atmosphere, embodying a warm vibe that lies somewhere between a family restaurant and a small tavern. This time, we ordered two of the popular dishes—classic tomato meat sauce spaghetti and squid seafood pasta.
The tomato meat sauce spaghetti has a traditional flavor, with a rich sauce that isn't overly salty, and the acidity and sweetness are just right. This dish doesn't have excessive fancy decorations, but it is consistently satisfying—it's the kind of flavor that’s hard to mess up no matter how you eat it.
The squid seafood pasta, on the other hand, showcases a different style, with black squid ink sauce enveloping the entire plate of spaghetti, giving it a distinctive appearance. The sauce has a strong maritime aroma, paired with fresh shrimp, cuttlefish, and mussels, offering a hearty portion. If it had a bit more spiciness or a squeeze of lemon for added flavor, the overall depth would be even more pronounced.
The dining environment is clean and bright, with simple and unpretentious decor. The staff is friendly, and the serving speed is fairly quick. Overall, it's a great place to visit if you're looking for a relaxed dining experience while craving some exotic flavors.
