Environment
The Japanese BBQ specialty store in the Gongyi Road war zone has portable power banks available for rent at the entrance, so you don’t have to fear running out of battery while taking photos⚡️. The restaurant is pet-friendly, allowing you to bring your furry friends instead of leaving them at home. The dining area features high ceilings, and the space between tables is quite spacious, making it very comfortable without feeling cramped. Additionally, the dining area is well-lit, enhancing photo quality and allowing for better visibility of the meat’s doneness.
Food
The restaurant offers meal sets and à la carte options, allowing you to choose according to your appetite. This time, I recommend a few must-try dishes; the set meal we had was the premium two-person set 💰2430.
Beef Tongue and Scallions (Grilled by the restaurant) 💰360: The cut of beef tongue is different from most round cuts; the restaurant prepares it in thin, elongated slices, making it easy to wrap with scallion salt. Each bite is crunchy, and the harmony of flavors between the beef tongue and scallion salt is unbeatable.
Top Sirloin Steak (Grilled by the restaurant) 💰680: This cut is perfect for grilling, but managing the heat and doneness is not simple. Fortunately, with the help of the staff, we enjoyed a tender steak that retained its juices, enhanced by a bit of garlic slices, making it even more delicious.
Thinly Sliced Pork Tenderloin with Water Lily (Grilled by the restaurant) 💰300: When it first arrived, it was a bit daunting to figure out how to handle it. Thankfully, the staff promptly helped; they first seared one side until the juices rose, then wrapped it with water lily, achieving perfect doneness. It’s not greasy when consumed together with the water lily.
Chicken Matsusaka 💰240: Not sure if everyone knows what Matsusaka refers to; it’s the neck part. It’s crunchy and super thick, delicious even without a special dipping sauce.
Fire Fries 🍟💰150: If you haven’t had McDonald's fries, you can enjoy them here at Fire BBQ. The restaurant specially provides curry powder for customers to create their own unique dish.
Beef Rice Stone Bowl 💰180: You can add an extra egg yolk to this dish. Once mixed well, the aroma of the beef sauce wafts up, and they use zucchini to keep the taste from being too rich. It’s a highly recommended side dish.
Point-to-the-Spot Lemon Tart 🍋💰99: This name is very interesting; the level of acidity is just right. Even for someone like me who is hesitant about sour flavors, it is very palatable. If you enjoy lemon tart, definitely order one to try; it wouldn’t lose to desserts from other sweet shops.
Parking
If you leave a bit earlier, there are plenty of roadside parking spots on Gongyi Road 💰20/hr, or you can find nearby paid parking lots 🅿️, with average prices around 💰30/0.5hr.
Service
The staff were very polite during our meal, thoughtfully introducing the menu and various items. For items that are trickier to grill, a dedicated server assists with grilling to ensure guests enjoy the best doneness. The efficiency of clearing empty dishes from the table is also impressive, keeping the tabletop clean and contributing to a wonderful dining experience.
