⭐️The store is a street-side shop that you might easily miss if you’re not paying attention. I originally planned to eat at the neighboring Chan Wang Ji, known for its chicken rice, but it was too late and they were closed, so I decided to try this place instead, which has pretty high online reviews.

This place is right next to the bustling area of Jiaoxi, but if you want to park, you might have to go to the nearby parking lot. The seating area in the store isn’t large, so you may need to wait.

The variety of dishes is diverse, but the prices are on the higher side. The Google Map reviews are high, but I personally felt it was just average 🥹. The cutlery and restaurant atmosphere were quite nice, and I could sense the owner’s effort. I felt pretty happy as soon as I entered the restaurant.

This shop specializes in soups that are simmered with charcoal for over six hours. The soup is served without seasoning, and you need to add salt yourself; even after adding salt, I still thought it was missing something 😂 (maybe I usually eat too scientifically?).

Today’s menu:
➜ Pepper Pork Belly Chicken Soup $198
The portion is large, but I felt it was missing a flavor… this shop's specialty.

➜ Spicy Pickled Pork Knuckles $68
Highly recommended! If you can handle spicy food, you must try this! The pork knuckles are extremely tender and well-seasoned, making it very enjoyable to eat.

➜ Creamy Wild Mushrooms $68
The first few bites were quite fragrant, but towards the end, it became a bit too oily.

➜ Seasonal Vegetables in Broth $68
The broth from this vegetable dish was actually my favorite, a bit salty but very smooth to drink 😆.

➜ Green Pepper Beef Fried Rice $143
The fried rice was decent, but not as fantastic as described online. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s a pretty large portion.

➜ Chrysanthemum Tofu $65
I thought it looked special and beautiful; in taste, it’s just chrysanthemum tea combined with tofu pudding, but it looks great for photos.

My favorite was the spicy pickled pork knuckles, it tasted amazing and was super unique! Highly recommended!!
