🚩12MINI is a personal hotpot specialty store under the Wang Pin Group.

In addition to fine dining at mid-high prices, the Wang Pin Group has recently begun to enter the budget market. In 2018, they created the brand "12MINI" under their brand "Shier Guo," which is a play on the words "12" and "mini." This brand focuses on quick-service personal hotpots and has rapidly expanded. Initially, there was a branch on Zhonglu Road in Xindian that ceased operations after just over a year. In August 2024, they will reopen at the Carrefour food court in Xindian.

The food court at Carrefour has plenty of seating, but also attracts many customers on weekends, so it is necessary to find a seat before placing an order. After scanning the QR code at the counter to order and pay, customers take a vibrating device and wait for their number to be called before picking up their food. Payments can be made with cash or mobile payments, and invoices are available for those who need a receipt, with no service charge.

There are two or more options to choose from for broth, meat, ingredients, and side dishes.
The Spicy Pepper Broth: It is only mildly spicy, with a rich broth that has a strong pepper aroma, which is quite pleasant. For meat, chicken was chosen, specifically a tender part, and for ingredients, "jiangjianghao" was selected, consisting of vegetables plus hotpot ingredients, with vermicelli as the side dish.
The Little Red Tomato Broth: This is a rich tomato hotpot base that includes tomato chunks, sweet without being overly salty and quite suitable for children, which is quite nice. For meat, a $20 upgrade to olive pork was chosen, which has a finer texture than regular sliced meat but is quite thin. For ingredients, "caicaihao" was selected, with plenty of vegetables (includes wood ear mushrooms, various mushrooms, baby corn, sweet potato), and for a side dish, a $20 upgrade was made to braised pork rice, though the portion was very small 🙃 which I really do not recommend.
The slushy flavor is winter melon; if consumed at a standalone location, the slushies can be refilled infinitely, but it seems not to be the case at the food court.

Chain hotpot restaurants, like Samama Stinky Hotpot, have also been continually raising prices in recent years, with the cheapest hotpot base now costing over $160. The basic prices at 12MINI are not significantly different, but the quality of ingredients and utensils is slightly better, making it feel quite competitive.

Peeled Chili Pot $180
Little Red Tomato Pot $170 (White rice can be exchanged for braised pork rice +$20) (Meat can be exchanged for olive pork +$20)
Braised Pork Rice
Winter melon smoothie included in the set meal.
