📌 Ginseng Chicken Soup

The ginseng chicken soup is a must-order in winter, as recommended by the staff XD. As soon as it's brought to the table, the rich aroma of ginseng fills the air. The broth is fresh, sweet, and nourishing; just one sip warms you from head to toe. The chicken is so tender that it practically melts in your mouth, and it's fresh, not dry, showcasing great sincerity in its preparation. The rice in the soup is cooked until soft and absorbs the broth's essence, which is simply amazing. 😍

📌 Luffa Pancakes
(No photo because… it was demolished as soon as it arrived at the table)

The luffa pancakes are surprisingly delightful, a creative Korean dish. The outer layer is crispy, while the inside retains the freshness and sweetness of the luffa, providing a rich texture that's not greasy. Luffa itself has a natural sweetness, complemented by a special dipping sauce (I’m scared of spicy food, but this sauce is mildly spicy and slightly sweet, which is perfect). It's refreshing with varied layers of flavor, although I suggest it could be a bit crunchier for a full score.

📌 Unlimited Korean Side Dishes

There are about five classic side dishes—seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, pickled gourd (and one I don't know what it is)—and they are available for unlimited refills!! Some are sweet and tangy, while others are savory and appetizing, tantalizing the taste buds and making you want to eat more.

📌 Seafood and Meat Tofu Pot (Non-Spicy)

Friends who can't handle spicy food can order this with peace of mind. The broth is delicious and rich, combining the sweetness of seafood and the aroma of meat. Every bite is packed with a wealth of flavors. The tofu is particularly soft and almost melts in your mouth, paired with the included purple rice crust, which absorbs the broth's essence, adding a subtle glutinous fragrance that makes you want to keep taking bites.

📌 Dessert: Brown Sugar Peanut Tofu Pudding

The final dessert features handmade tofu pudding, which has a texture that's more solid than the usual silky smoothness of tofu pudding, giving it a strong soybean aroma. The peanut flavor is prominent, though the brown sugar's sweetness is a bit lighter, making it overall refreshing and suitable as a simple ending to a meal. If you prefer desserts that aren't too sweet, this one would be an excellent choice.

Overall Evaluation

Juann Tofu has won the hearts of many Taiwanese customers with its exquisite Korean cuisine and friendly service, receiving rave reviews across its locations! Whether it's the nourishing ginseng chicken soup, the creative luffa pancakes, or the unlimited side dishes, the quality is certainly high, and naturally, high-quality food comes with a corresponding price. However, overall, for about 700 NTD per person, I personally highly recommend it; it's perfect for family gatherings or outings with friends. 👌

Super giant whole chicken (without a head)
Because I absolutely love eating cold mixed bean sprouts, it deserves to be noted.

🇰🇷 Sun Haru 韓國料理 🇰🇵 Korean Cuisines

We have dined in numerous Korean restaurants in many countries, this one serves food not up to foodies’ expectations on a national level — we’d try to avoid revisiting until new chefs are hired — meanwhile, the atmosphere with cute murals surrounding customers are lovely though; nonetheless, generally speaking, food is not yet up to standards. Those festive decorations and Christmas trees let them earn those two (2) stars.

This place is generally crowded and needs a reservation, and I can see why. The star attraction is the whole chicken hot pot, and it's really great. The chicken is tender and juicy, our toddler kept asking for more. While waiting for it to cook, they also had small side dishes to whet our appetites and the picked radish was especially popular. The basket of clams we got was also pretty fresh and really adds to the broth. We took the broth home and cooked it further in noodles as well, nothing went to waste! Great place to visit, I highly recommend it.

ZAN 🍥 CHEE 🇰🇷 韓國餐廳

ZAN 🍥 CHEE 🇰🇷 Korean Restaurant has been being with over 50 Korean side dishes (ban chan) for customers — these ample varieties do broaden dining experience and foreigners’ knowledge about Korean gastronomic culture. There are currently five (5) branches, and this one in Olympian City is the only one on Kowloon side in Hong Kong. Personally speaking, the foods both surpassed the standards and urbanely reached our expectations.
