The appetizers at this restaurant are particularly outstanding, with rich and flavorful braised dishes served in generous portions. The noodles are cooked just right, the broth is refreshing, and the slices of pork served with it are tender and deliciously sweet.
The dining space in the store is relatively small, and you may need to wait for a table during meal times.
The ability to use various mobile payments has added convenience.
There are three shops in the Ximen series, all selling noodles and side dishes, but it seems that their signature items are different. For example, the shop on Ximen Road focuses on beef noodles, the one on Gengsheng Road specializes in seafood, and the one on Chuan Guang Road offers dumplings. However, I haven’t had the chance to try them all yet, so I can’t really compare.
What I think is the best about this shop is its side dishes, which are very flavorful and generously portioned. The braised peanuts are on the harder side, not too soft or mushy, which is the kind I prefer. I recommend trying this dish from the side dishes.
As for the noodles, they are cooked to a perfect texture, and the taste is quite good; the broth isn’t too salty, making it refreshing to eat. The slices of pork that come with the noodles are tender and sweet, and they pair well with the noodles.
However, during meal times, it can get quite crowded, so you might have to wait for a table. They also accept various mobile payment options, which is very convenient!
