The dishes are exquisite, especially the generous portions of vegetables. There is a wide variety of meat selections, with Angus beef, pork collar, and chicken thighs receiving rave reviews. Although the udon is not Sanuki-style, its texture is just right, and the sauce made with sugar and peanut powder is quite unique.
The restaurant environment is clean and bright, suitable for dining.
Reservations are required in advance; otherwise, you may need to wait on-site.
💛♢ Little Shang Pin Fine Pot Hot Pot - Zhengda Store ♢
Location: Located near Zhengda, about a seven-minute walk to get there. (On the first floor of the Daxian Library, walk straight from the main entrance without going up the slope, located behind the parking lot.)
Dining Environment: Clean and bright.
Ordering Method: Order at the counter.
My favorite hot pot restaurant nearby! It's an incredible deal for students at Zhengda to get a plate of meat.
What I love the most is that they give you a lot of vegetables; the vegetable platter includes a mix of vegetables, and underneath is a generous amount of cabbage, with not much hot pot ingredient.
You can choose from pork belly/beef roll/chicken roll/chicken thigh for the meat platter. I've tried the pork belly, chicken thigh, and Angus beef, and I highly recommend them! I’m not as fond of the lamb roll and chicken roll, though.
The udon noodles aren’t the Sanuki type, but they’re not so soft that they lose their chewiness.
A special touch with the sauces is the addition of sugar and peanut powder!
Aside from needing to walk a bit to get to Daxian, there aren't many drawbacks. The business is very good, so make sure to reserve a table during meal times; otherwise, you’ll have to wait for a spot on site.
