The restaurant offers a delightful selection of classic Indonesian dishes, with the Ayam bumi angus being a standout. The flavours are impressive and the creamy coconut sauces enhance the overall experience, making sharing enjoyable.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, featuring dim candlelight and Indonesian art, creating a warm atmosphere that feels almost hidden away.
It is advisable to make a reservation as the restaurant is popular and well-attended, which suggests a level of demand for its inviting dining experience.
Almost hidden in the souterrain lays this little gem of restaurant within the Belgium quarter of Cologne.
After entering the restaurant you will find yourself in a relative dark but cozy atmosphere given by candle light and Indonesian art.
The menu is full of classic in Indonesian dishes for everyones taste.
My recommendation and most favourite dish is the Ayam bumi angus, pieces of chicken (on bone) in soy Sauce, garlic and flambéed with arrak. The preparartion allows sharing pretty well, especially when ordered more than one serving.
All dishes impress by their flavor and the coconut sauces by their creaminess.
Should definately make a reseevation upfront as the restaurant is well attended also during the week.
