Montana’s BBQ & Bar

MonctonBarbecue
Lunch2 pplCA$30

On our road trip through Canada we stopped at Montana's when passing Moncton in New Brunswick.
Montana's is a Canadian restaurant and sports bar chain offering, as the name says, BBQ in ways of ribs, brisket, burgers etc..
We went there for late lunch. The place was not packed so we had not to wait for being seated by the friendly staff. Also the food didn't take long to arrive at the table.
The location itself was quite nice with lots of wood, giving it a comfy atmosphere.

We had some chicken tenders which were really crispy and a smokehouse stack sandwich which is piled with smoked beef brisket and tender pulled pork tossed in apple butter BBQ sauce and topped with crispy onion rings. Really juicy and tasty.

Definately a recommendation for a stop on the road or a nice evenig with friends.

360 The Restaurant at the CN Tower

Dinner2 pplCA$100

351 metres (1,151 feet) above the ground, 360 Restaurant provides a unique scenic view of Toronto. The restaurant is rotating and completes one rotation every 72 minutes, giving you a full-circle view of Toronto while you dine.
There are two circles of tables, one directly at the window and the other more to the centre. However, as the latter one is a bit elevated it still comes with an amazing view.

Guests have access to CN Tower's Main observation level afterwards and do not need to purchase a separate admission ticket. With the reservation you can also skip the line at the entrance of the tower. With a minimum spend of $75 on food per person (minimum spend is $40 for children 4 to 12) the whole experience is really worth it if you plan to go up the tower anyway (which is more than 40$ itself).

Partly steakhouse, seafood restaurant and wine bar the restaurant offers a prix fixe and à la carte menus highlighting regional Canadian specialties and market-fresh, Ocea fish and shellfish.

We had pork and chicken which both very good with well matching sides and fresh veggies.
As dessert we took white chocolate mousse and chocolate cake, both very tasty and nicely presented.

All in all it was an unforgettable experience with a combination of amazing views,.great food and super friendly staff.
If you plan to go to the observation deck anyway you should really consider to combine it with a meal. Especially in the evening at sunset.

Lincoln's Waffle Shop

Breakfast1 ppl$25

Looking for a typical waffle chicken breakfast it took me to Lincoln's Waffle Shop located on the historic 10th street NW in Downtown DC. With their almost 30 years of serving breakfast this location got some tradition, which one could see, so don't expect anything fancy though. The place itself looks like a typical diner with an U shaped counter.
It was quite busy with people coming in and out either to eat in or just grab something to go.

I went for the waffle with chicken tenders which comes with a piece of butter. Syrup and hot sauce are offered on the counter/table. The waffe itself was classic, nothing too special. The chicken was crispy and was a nice addition to the waffle.

If you are looking for some classic breakfast I would definately recommend a visit.

The Capital Burger

This is a classical american burger restaurant located directly at the convention centre.
The interior is classical with dark wood, providing a warm atmosphere.
The menu is clear with great signature burgers and some sandwiches.
I had the Capital Burger which came with caramelized onions, Wisconsin grand cru gruyère and shallot aioli. The star was the patty, which was juicy and thick (no smashburger). The open secret behind the beef is blending different cuts using only beef from small, family-owned farms.
With the burger I picked the french sea salt fries which were thin and crispy. Solid and good.
Together with a nice beer from the tap I had a great lunch with a super friendly waiter making me feel so welcome.

Um Plateau

The restaurant Um Plateau is located east of the old town of Luxembourg City, almost at the end of the hook surrounded by the river Alzette.
With the restaurant and bar concept you can enjoy a variety of nice cocktails or one of the 60 gins they offer.

The interior is classic but stylish and you can also sit outside on a terrace.
Without a reservation on a Saturday evening we were lucky to get the last free table in the bar area.
The menu offers a variety of Mediterranean dishes with an excursion to the Asian cuisine.

We had a veal chop with smashed potatoes and a very falvorful black pepper sauce which was prepared very well and of good quality.
The tagliata of Beef, covered with rocket and parmesan was quite tasty with fresh products of good quality.
On the ocean side a seafood papillote came with vongole, mussels and cod, cooked with white wine herbs and served with rice. Just like the other dishes the quality of the products was good and the food very tastefully.

We had a very nice dinner with attentive and friendly staff in a nice atmosphere and good food.
