The variety of dishes is丰富 (rich), and the soup base of the tofu pot is mild, paired with a generous portion of stone pot rice. Especially the sea bream tofu pot and the Korean dumpling soft tofu pot, which have a unique flavor and leave a deep impression.
The restaurant's decor is exquisite, featuring a combination of gray stone and black glass. The space is spacious, and the seating arrangement is reasonable, making people feel comfortable.
The service attitude is good, the staff promptly replenishes the side dishes, and the overall experience is pleasant.
The Tofu House in Dunhua South Road, Daan District, Taipei, is located near the Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT Station, about a 2-minute walk from Exit 5. The storefront is at a corner and features a simple exterior with large floor-to-ceiling windows. The interior uses gray stone paired with black glass, with an exquisite decoration style and a spacious layout, offering many sets of tables for four.
Upon entering, customers are seated by the staff and can browse the physical menu. After selecting dishes, orders are taken at the table, and payment is made afterward, with options for cash, credit card, and LINE Pay.
After placing an order, staff will serve five types of side dishes: seaweed, bean sprouts, kelp, greens, and Korean kimchi. Once the side dishes are finished, customers can ask for more. The tofu pot will arrive earlier than the rice, so it's essential to manage the pace of eating; otherwise, when the stone pot rice comes, the only accompaniment will be the side dishes 😅 (individual dining experiences are written below ⬇️).
The meal price, including service charge, is less than 400 NTD. Although it gets very busy during lunch hours, the service attitude is good, side dishes are replenished, and the space feels great. The ingredients aren’t extremely high-priced, but there are many other advantages, so I recommend it with 4 stars 🌟.
