I really wanted to eat chicken rice that day, but Chiayi was too far away and the chain stores weren’t that good, so I chose the regular Roubo restaurant.

The restaurant's business has always been good. The internal area is clean and comfortable, and the table turnover rate is high. After eating, you can go to the recycling area by yourself, so the environment will not be cluttered with empty plates occupying tables.

I ordered a variety today and chose a few to introduce.
Turkey rice (50): The turkey meat is moderately thick and easy to eat. The rice was cooked just right today and is topped with chicken oil. It is full of aroma and deliciousness. But because the chicken fat is given without mercy, sometimes it is a bit salty and oily. However, the store can customize less juice, which is very good.

Flat fish and cabbage soup (45): A traditional dish. The soup base is boiled with flat fish. The overall soup has the aroma of cabbage and flat fish. It is commendable that the store did not thicken the soup. The only drawback is that it is still flavored with sugar, and the overall taste is still sweet. This is Tainan after all.

Smoked bean curd (35): a cold dish placed in the refrigerator for self-service. The tofu skin is smoked, served with black fungus and shredded carrots, and mixed with sesame oil. The overall flavor is very fragrant and the taste is rich. The small disadvantage is that the sweetness is obvious and it is oily.

Braised tofu (10): Although the store sells fried tofu, it actually tastes more like braised tofu. Made from soft tofu, the skin is thin and does not feel fried. The marinade is not around the chicken rice, it is another pot, with a Chinese medicinal flavor and not too salty. I really like his tofu.

Roubo is very suitable for friends who are in a hurry and are office workers who require speed and a high table turnover rate. It is also suitable for people who want to taste snacks. The store is clean, bright and not noisy. The audience is very wide, so business has been good. recommend.

Roubo's turkey rice has been popular in the area for at least 15 years. It is famous for its flat fish and cabbage soup and turkey rice. When I was studying in Chiayi, I rarely ate chicken rice, but after eating Pork Pork, I had the idea: It turns out that turkey rice can also be made in such a clean environment, the chicken can be chewed to the thickness, and the rice is not oily or greasy.

But unfortunately, the store only sells braised eggs, so there is no way to eat them with poached eggs, I can only imagine in my mind🥲

Apart from rice, I used to think that flat fish and cabbage only had a heavily thickened version, but I didn’t expect that it could also be a sweet version: a combination of braised cabbage and rock sugar.

I also recommend the fried tofu, because they buy the tofu themselves and braise it, so it’s not too salty and it’s thick and juicy!
