Located in Maokong, Taipei, "Chun Tea Village" is a restaurant with a backdrop of tea garden scenery. This time I came with my elders, and they chose a set menu for us, which was served directly to the table. Considering the Maokong attraction, the prices at this restaurant are quite reasonable, especially with such a beautiful view to enjoy, making it a nice experience.
The stir-fried seasonal vegetables seem to be mountain fern, with a very crisp texture. The seasoning is simple yet delicious, making you want to keep eating. Next was the chicken dish; the meat was very tender and well-prepared, without that dry, tough feeling, which made it quite enjoyable. The pickled vegetable chicken soup also left a strong impression. The soup base is warm and comforting, with the salty fragrance of the pickled vegetables blending into the chicken soup, enriching its layers—so tasty that I couldn't help but drink a few more bowls.
The sweet and sour ribs were also a highlight of the meal, with a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. The ribs had a crispy exterior while retaining their juiciness inside, making them not too greasy—a dish that makes you want to grab a few more pieces.
Overall, the dishes at "Chun Tea Village" performed quite well, particularly their fresh ingredients and refreshing flavors, which are perfect to enjoy alongside the tea garden scenery. Even though it's a restaurant in a tourist area, it didn't give off a feeling of being overpriced, making it a place worth visiting again.
