The chicken rice and braised pork rice are a bit greasy, but the Chinese-style blanched vegetables taste crispy, and the fish ball soup is ordinary.
There are plenty of seats, making it suitable for resting. During holidays, there are many food vendors around Maokong.
During the long holiday, I went for a stroll in Maokong. This shop doesn’t have a long wait. There are quite a few seats available. I didn't order the stinky tofu, but I got everything else.
I had chicken rice with sautéed greens and fish ball soup. The chicken rice was a bit greasy, the sautéed greens were a type of Chinese vegetable and tasted quite crisp. The fish ball soup had 3 fish balls and 3 meat balls. It’s just a very ordinary fish ball soup.
However, my friend ordered braised pork rice, and there was a lot of oil underneath it; later, I saw reviews from others mentioning the same issue.
They only accept cash. There are vendors nearby selling icy drinks, squid balls, sausages, and fried scallion pancakes.
I guess there really wasn’t much to eat that made me consider this place.
