After finishing her meal, my daughter posed a dilemma of wanting to have a snack. She suddenly remembered a specialized egg cake shop she saw near our home while walking the last time. So, her dutiful parents had to set off to fulfill her wish ❤️.

This shop sells egg cakes, waffles, and drinks. It's a small shop with two tables for dine-in curbside. What’s special is that they have a wide variety of flavors, and they also offer shaped egg cakes that are likely to attract many kids and young girls 👍.

Because there were so many flavor items, it took me almost 5 minutes just to place the order. In the end, I chose the fresh strawberry custard egg cake. When I received the order, I realized it was shaped like a Shiba Inu. My daughter’s eyes lit up when she saw it. There were a total of 4 pieces, each about 6-8 cm in size, filled with plenty of custard cream and topped with a strawberry, and the surface sprinkled with powdered sugar. My daughter had custard all over her face, and it was so delicious that she almost didn't want to share with her parents. The custard was very smooth, not too runny or too firm, with a sweetness level of about 7-8, combined with the tart strawberry making it about 5-6 in sweetness; so for those wary of sweetness, I recommend choosing a flavor with fresh fruit or plain because the egg cake’s surface remained crispy due to being close to home, which was a big plus. If you enjoy hot, crispy skin, I suggest dining at the outdoor tables.

The whole family found it very tasty, but the price was a bit expensive—the 4 pieces cost 140 NT dollars. However, because strawberries were affected by the weather this year, they are indeed pricey (the last time I bought 10 in the market for 150 NT dollars), so as long as we had a good time eating, it’s all good. It seems this shop will become a must-order favorite for my daughter whenever we return to Yilan 😂.
