This is my first time eating at Stone Hot Pot. I've heard good things about it before, but since I don't like to stand in line, I never had the chance to try it. This time, I came at around 4 PM during a non-peak period and was able to dine without waiting in line.

There's a simple paper menu available for reference, but ordering is done via QR code. You first choose the broth, then the vegetable platter, and finally the meat. You can choose to have more vegetables or more meat, which I think is great because you can order according to your appetite and preferences.

I ordered the Spicy Hot Hot Sister pot with selected tender shoulder beef. The broth is slightly spicy and quite tasty. Personally, I think spicy hot pot goes well with fried dough sticks, and they provide two of them without needing to order separately, which is great. I ordered the meat-heavy option, and both the meat and vegetables tasted quite fresh.

The self-service bar has utensils, sauces, and hot pot broth for refills, and they also offer unlimited refills of lemon winter melon slush and unsweetened black bean tea. The lemon winter melon slush is a bit sweet but I found it quite delicious.

Overall, although the dining space is a bit small, the environment is bright and clean, and the ingredients feel fresh. The portion sizes were sufficient for me. If it weren't for the long lines, I would be willing to visit this hot pot restaurant again.

Today, I went to the farm with friends and their kids, and two kids were clamoring to go to Tom's Bear, so we decided to have hot pot again. Thankfully, we arrived just before 5:00 PM, and we only waited about 15 minutes. At this place, you choose the soup base, vegetable platter (large/small), main dish (meat/seafood), and staple food. My husband always orders the stone pot soup base, and today I chose the seasonal peeled chili pepper pot to try. I really liked the soup base; it had two large pieces of peeled chili peppers, and the staff personally refilled it with the original broth, so the flavor stayed consistent, which is a plus 😊. Since I love vegetables, I ordered the large vegetable platter, while my husband, who loves meat, got the small vegetable platter. For the main dishes, we ordered a portion of Wagyu beef and a mixed dish of pork and fish (after becoming a mom, I absolutely order fish whenever dining out 🙋). We chose white rice and udon noodles as the staple food, and in the end, dad's rice was eaten by the butterfly (the kid) for more than half a bowl, so he ended up ordering an extra bowl. We also got some fresh oysters and beef balls today.

The large vegetable platter had a good quantity and included all the basic items, and the vegetables were fresh. I felt very satisfied; actually, I was mostly full after finishing the ingredients and could have skipped the staple food. I think the quality of the meat was acceptable; although the quantity was moderate, the fresh oysters were good quality but, of course, not very large given the price. I found the beef balls relatively average (I probably won't order them again). Finally, we naturally enjoyed their signature winter melon lemon smoothie, and then we took the kids to play at Tom's Bear 🐻.

Personally, I quite like Stone II Pot; whenever I’m unsure of what to eat, I think of it because the environment is clean, and the prices are reasonable. Eating there once or twice a month is quite common for us. Sometimes we also order the soup base and meat to take away (we prepare the vegetables ourselves to save money), and their meat 🥩 has a high cost-performance ratio 👍.
