The variety of dishes is diverse, with the salmon roe rice bowl and the mixed seafood rice bowl being fresh and delicious. The fried karaage chicken is standardly tasty, and the chawanmushi is reasonably priced. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are sufficient, and the overall experience is satisfying.
The restaurant space is bright and clean, complemented by minimalist and comfortable white walls and light wood tables and chairs, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere.
The service was good, the food was served quickly, and the staff actively replenished the tea. The overall experience was satisfying.
Riyin Sushi is located in a small alley in the Daan District of Taipei City. The nearest MRT station is Zhongxiao Dunhua Station, Exit 3, which is about a 4-minute walk. Riyin Sushi opened in March 2020 and expanded its space on the left side in 2022, turning it into a wider shop. The space is bright and clean, with white walls and light wooden tables creating a comfortable and minimalist atmosphere. Besides the four-person tables, there are also a few counter seats. Interestingly, there is a jewelry cabinet in the store, which might be the owner's side business🤔.
Upon entering the restaurant, the staff will present a paper menu, and after ordering, you hand it to them. After dining, you pay in cash only, and they do not provide a receipt🈚.
Today, on a weekday afternoon, five people came to dine, and there were not many customers in the restaurant. The meals were as follows ⬇️
🔸 Salmon Rice Bowl $390
Includes salmon sashimi, salmon roe, and grilled salmon. The portion of fish is quite generous and fresh, leaving a good sense of fullness after finishing. Each rice bowl comes with a bowl of miso soup containing small pieces of fish, and overall I was quite satisfied.
🔸 Seafood Rice Bowl $360
This is a mix of 6-7 types of seafood in one bowl, perfect for those who have difficulty choosing. However, the downside is that if you're not familiar with fish, you won't know what you're eating🤣.
🔸 Fried Chicken Karaage $160
A very standard Japanese fried chicken, appropriately sized for easy eating and delicious.
🔸 Chawanmushi $30
A very small bowl; at this price, it’s just about acceptable.
The service is quite good, with a serving speed of about 10 minutes. The staff is also very proactive in refilling tea. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The prices are slightly higher, but the ingredients are fresh enough to make it worth a visit occasionally.
