The 12 Mini Quick Cook Pot offers spicy duck blood tofu; the tofu is well-seasoned, but the overall flavor is rather mild. The meal is reasonably priced, making it suitable as a savory snack between meals.
Payment can only be made with cash or Wang Pin PAY, and the waiting time is about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the crowd.
Title: Student Eats - What to Eat
Today, I went to the B1 level of Far Eastern Sogo in Xizhi, to try the 12MINI quick-cook pot.
★ Meal:
I unexpectedly discovered they sell spicy duck blood tofu for $30.
★ Thoughts:
Payment can only be made in cash or with Wangpin PAY.
The tofu and duck blood come in two pieces. If you only order this, there are no drinks available.
The protein-based savory snacks in between meals are reasonably priced and quite nice.
However, in my opinion, delicious duck blood still has its special place.
The flavor at 12MINI tends to be mild, but Wangpin's tofu is well-seasoned! It's acceptable.
★ Wait Time:
Around 5 minutes (mainly due to the queue; if it's crowded, it can take up to 10 minutes).
My first attempt with the 12 Mini hot pot was a great choice for enjoying hot pot alone.
This time I ordered the Kung Fu satay pork hot pot, and I had the option to choose more vegetables or hot pot ingredients. I chose the latter, but it actually felt like there were plenty of vegetables.
As for the Kung Fu satay broth, I personally found it a bit bland and couldn't really taste the satay flavor.
Regarding the hot pot ingredients, there were indeed a lot, including things like dumplings and pig's blood cake, which showed a lot of sincerity.
Overall, I would recommend the 12 Mini for anyone wanting to enjoy hot pot alone.
