This Korean restaurant offers a rich and authentic Korean cuisine, with a depth of flavor in the jajangmyeon and fried noodles, while the sweet and sour pork is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the portions are generous.
The store is bright and clean, with a sign in Korean that catches the eye. Seating is limited, so it is recommended to make a reservation in advance.
The boss lady is friendly and attentive, offering traditional Korean side dishes. The ordering system is convenient, and the overall service is smooth.
On this day, we decided to go to a nearby venue to watch a concert and checked out this Korean restaurant and immediately made a reservation! We arrived at the restaurant around 11:15 after coming from Yilan, but it didn’t open until 11:30. The owner kindly brought us the menu so we could take a look. 😍
I wanted to eat jajangmyeon, but since it was really cold, I also wanted some soup. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had a half-and-half option that could satisfy both cravings!
The restaurant felt bright and clean, and the Korean signage was very eye-catching. However, there weren’t many seats available inside (maybe around 10 to 12 people). I suggest making a reservation beforehand!
After being seated, we ordered directly using a QR code. The owner served us Korean side dishes – radish and kimchi. The radish was very refreshing and not overly sour, while the kimchi felt fresh and wasn’t too spicy, offering a traditional Korean kimchi texture! (I’m always afraid of overly fermented kimchi, which can become too sour to enjoy as a side dish.)
When the main dishes arrived, I thought the portions were a bit large. I initially thought the half-and-half option would give smaller portions, but surprisingly, the owner gave us quite a lot!
The jajangmyeon tasted like what I had in Korea, but it seemed like they added a bit of ginger, giving it a richer flavor without feeling overwhelming after a few bites.
The stir-fried noodle soup was a seafood noodle soup, perfect for the chilly weather! The seafood in the soup was generous, and the noodles blended well with the broth. They gave a good amount of soup, which made me, a soup lover, very happy! 😍
For the sweet and sour pork, we actually ordered a small portion. Initially, I thought the small portion price was somewhat high, but when the dish arrived, we realized we were mistaken; the portion was actually quite generous. The sauce had the perfect balance, not too sweet and not too salty, and it didn’t end up making the pork soggy. The exterior had a crispy texture while the inside retained moisture and elasticity!
We initially thought we would just eat a little before the concert, but we ended up feeling very full! Luckily, we arrived as soon as the restaurant opened. After we ordered, I noticed the restaurant was already full. Those who arrived later had to wait for a table. By the time we finished, there were about four or five groups waiting outside. I recommend everyone make a reservation in advance to avoid a long wait!
Now, while I’m writing this record, I’m craving it all over again!
