The tonkatsu is very tender, juicy, and can be enjoyed with various condiments. Both the loin and tenderloin are pink, beautiful, and delicious. The tonjiru is also full of ingredients and pairs well with rice and pickles. The black sesame ice cream for dessert is rich and delicious as well.
The stylish interior features counter seating and table seating. It is located near Nagahori Bridge Station and is also within walking distance from Shinsaibashi Station.
I recently went to a tonkatsu restaurant that opened near Nagahoribashi Station 🐷
The restaurant is called "Tonkatsu Nagikatsu," and the nearest station is Osaka Metro Nagahoribashi, but it's also within walking distance from Shinsaibashi Station 🚃
The exterior was stylish, and the interior was also chic ✨
There were counter seats as well as table seats.
On the table, there were:
I ordered a half portion 🐷 for 3410 yen, which included half of both loin and fillet.
I also added a dinner set (rice 🍚 and tonjiru (pork soup) 🐷) for 440 yen.
You could choose the amount of either cabbage or lettuce 🥬 and the portion of rice 🍚.
Rice, tonjiru, and cabbage can be refilled 🍚🐷🥬.
The tonkatsu that arrived was thick for both the loin and fillet, with a beautiful pink color that looked incredibly delicious 🐷.
It's recommended to start eating with salt, so I tried that 🧂.
The loin was incredibly tender and juicy 🐷. The tenderness was such that I didn't mind the thickness at all, and the fat was sweet and tasty.
The fillet was so soft that it disappeared from my mouth in no time 🐷. I felt it was soft enough to be chewed even without teeth 🐷.
Eating it with salt allowed me to truly taste the meat, and it was delicious 🐷.
After that, adding some wasabi was also tasty 🔥.
The soy sauce was sweet and delicious either on its own or as mustard soy sauce 🔥.
The sauce was rich, with a sweetness that matched perfectly with the tonkatsu, making it absolutely delicious 🐷.
There were various ways to use the condiments, which kept things interesting while eating 🐷.
The cabbage 🥬 was finely shredded and fluffy 🥬. I used both the carrot dressing and the perilla dressing 🥕. Both were delicious, but I preferred the carrot dressing 🥕
The rice 🍚 was incredibly tasty and paired perfectly with both the tonkatsu and the pickles. The dashi for ochazuke was also very delicious. It was tasty even with a bit of wasabi added 🍚.
The tonjiru 🐷 had plenty of cubed pork, along with large onion 🧅, carrot 🥕, radish, and green onion—lots of ingredients 🐷. The dashi was rich, and the slightly sweet miso was delightful ✨. It was so good I asked for a refill 😋.
For dessert, I had black sesame ice cream 🍨. After the meal, I could choose between yuzu sorbet and black sesame ice cream, and I went with the black sesame 🍨. It had a rich sesame flavor and was absolutely delicious 🍨.
I was very satisfied with the meal and thoroughly enjoyed it 😋. It has definitely become a restaurant I want to visit again 😍. Since it just opened, I hope it continues to thrive!!
