Located in Donggang, Zhuangjia Herbal Tea is known for its rich and robust herbal tea and bitter tea. This time, I ordered their signature item—the 2:1 herbal bitter tea. I originally thought that reducing the proportion would make the bitterness milder, but the first sip still hit me with its intense bitterness, truly an uncompromising "herbal heavy hitter."

At first sip, the deep herbal bitterness immediately spreads across the tongue, accompanied by herbal aromas and thickness; it tastes completely unadulterated and uncompromising. However, the charm of this tea lies in the sweetness that follows. After the bitterness fades, a refreshing sweetness emerges on the tip of the tongue, with a pleasant and lasting aftertaste, as if the entire body has been awakened anew. As I continued to drink, I even found it to become smoother with each sip.

It is worth mentioning that Zhuangjia not only sells bitter tea and herbal tea, but they also have a rich selection of desserts, such as mung bean soup and barley soup, which are highly recommended by many locals as refreshing summer treats. It's a pity that I didn't have the chance to try the desserts this time; I'll definitely save some room for them on my next visit.

Overall, if you enjoy traditional herbal drinks or want to challenge yourself with the extreme flavor of "bitter first, sweet later," this place is definitely worth a visit.
