Soba noodles, grilled chicken, and clay pot rice are served, with the seasonal sudachi soba being particularly popular. The sautéed offal in saikyo miso and grilled chicken hearts are also delicious, offering a high level of satisfaction overall.
The hotel features a luxurious Kyomachiya-style design, and despite being located underground, it boasts a spacious interior and tatami rooms, creating a calm atmosphere.
On May 17th, I went to a charming soba restaurant that reopened, built in the traditional Machiya style 👘.
The restaurant, called Sake Bar Suishin in Saiin, is located on the basement floor of a hotel, just a short walk from Saiin Station 🚃.
It's surprisingly luxurious for a place in a hotel basement, and there was also a second-floor seating area!!
There were both table seats and tatami rooms✨.
For drinks, I had grated white peach milk 🍑, which was rich and delicious🍑.
For the appetizer, we had kinpira gobo✨. It was loaded with ingredients like shirataki noodles and minced meat and was very tasty😊.
For the main dish, I tried the beef tripe simmered in Saikyo miso🐮. The mellow Saikyo miso and the abundance of tripe made it sweet, easy to eat, and delicious🐮.
The grilled chicken skirt steak 🐔 was a limited-time offer. It came sizzling hot on a plate with the skirt steak and onions🐔. It had a spicy kick from the shichimi and pepper, and the onions were soft and delicious🔥.
I also had sudachi soba✨, which was another limited-time item☀️. It had lots of sudachi and myoga, and its simple appearance was lovely✨. The soba had a nice texture, was filling, and delicious😍. The broth had a strong bonito flavor, which paired perfectly with the soba👌. The sudachi was refreshing, and the myoga added a nice zest—perfect for this season😊.
The restaurant caters to various customers, including tourists from abroad, families, and solo diners, and the menu is quite extensive✨.
