The beef three treasures noodles and beef three treasures dan dan noodles are signature dishes. The beef broth is fresh and not greasy, while the beef brisket, beef tendon, and beef tripe are handled well. The pickled radish side dish is very flavorful, and the curry fish balls are rich and tasty, although the dan dan noodles are a bit greasy.
Location: Tin Hau, Hong Kong
The location is very convenient; it takes about five minutes to walk from Tin Hau Station. However, it is a bit far from other attractions. Nearby, there is only Victoria Park. You have to walk a bit to reach Causeway Bay. Because there were so many recommendations online, and it had been recommended by Michelin for many years, it was definitely on my must-visit list. The wait time was about 30 minutes. The day we went was Friday afternoon, and it was still quite crowded. So if you really want to go, you should set aside time to queue.
🌟 Clear Soup with Beef Tripe and Noodles
Almost everyone at the restaurant had a bowl of this on their table that day. We originally ordered three bowls, but we ended up skipping the last bowl since there was no more beef tendon left; only two bowls had the beef tripe. Eating it made us happy🎉. The beef broth was fresh, sweet, and refreshing. It wasn’t too heavy, pairing nicely with the three types of beef: brisket, tendon, and tripe. All were handled well, without any fishy taste, and they were flavored perfectly without being too salty.
🌟 Beef Tripe Dandan Noodles
Later, I changed it to just two types of beef. This was my order because everyone else was eating the same thing, and I wanted to try something different. The broth had a blend of sesame sauce and peanut sauce. When it arrived at the table, the aroma was overwhelming. It smelled amazing, and combined with the noodles, it felt like eating Taiwanese sesame noodles. However, it became a bit heavy towards the end, and I couldn’t finish it😣.
🌟 Side Dishes - Turnip, Curry Fish Balls
The turnip is a must-order! It was very flavorful; it broke easily when cut with chopsticks. So delicious! 😋 As for the curry fish balls, I personally don't love fish balls that much, but the curry sauce was very rich. It was also great paired with their clear soup. I recommend mixing it in if you find the clear soup a bit monotonous and want to change flavors (since I saw online recommendations for this pairing).
