There are many restaurants in Matera that are all grotto restaurants. I went to eat at another one the next day. Again, I didn’t search in particular, I just found one at random.

Today’s special €18
We had the same choice for the first and second courses. We chose Fresh pasta with turnip greens and fried bread and Grilled pork sausage with potatoes.

p.s. Something happened that required deducting points. If we order these two dishes a la carte, the total is €21, but ordering a special meal only costs €18. We obviously ordered a special meal, but the waiter actually charged us €21 when we checked out. Fortunately, we ordered the special meal. I discovered it, otherwise I would have been charged €3 more for nothing.

Fresh pasta with turnip greens and fried bread
The first few bites I thought were pretty good, but the more I ate later, the saltier it became, and the green vegetables (I don’t know what kind of vegetables they were) tasted a bit bitter. This dish is about 60 points.

Grilled pork sausage with potatoes
The sausage is very solid, and it takes a little effort to cut and bite. It has a bit of spice, and you can tell that it is cooked with care, but it is also a bit salty, and you will want to keep adding water.

We also ordered Fresh pasta with pork sausage and mushrooms sauce €12
The pork sausage here is more like minced meat. It tastes like red sauce meat sauce noodles. It has a taste you can eat in Taiwan. I personally think it is delicious and the portion is substantial.

One drawback of this restaurant is that we have to wait a long time for food. It took about 30 minutes after ordering for the first meal (pasta) to be served; then after we ate the pasta, we had to wait another 15 minutes for it to be served. The second meal (sausage), I don’t understand why they didn’t start making sausage when we were eating pasta (there were only two groups of customers in the store at that time including us)
