The desserts, such as Earl Grey tea canelé and egg tart with Lanjin chicken eggs, each have their own characteristics, but the texture of the canelé is like a croissant, which is a bit disappointing. The egg tart uses Lanjin chicken eggs, and while the flavor is decent, it is not particularly rich.
The indoor space is small, and there are limited bar seats, making it easy to get crowded. It is recommended to look at the menu outside before entering.

🔸Egg Tart with Lankwan Egg MOP12
Made with Japanese Lankwan eggs, the outer layer is supposed to be very crispy, and the filling tastes okay, but I think it lacks robust flavor. It feels more like a gimmick using Lankwan eggs. It's worth trying one for the experience, but honestly, you can take it or leave it. If you're in the area again, you might buy another, especially since there's a lot of competition on Rua de Cunha, which also has other places selling egg tarts.
🧸 The indoor seating consists only of a single row of bar stools, and next to it is the counter, which is very cramped. If the bar is full, people at the counter checking out can accidentally bump into those seated. I suggest checking the menu outside, and have one friend go to buy, so not everyone has to crowd inside.
This place is Goat Bakers - Taipa, located near Rua do Cunha. After seeing reviews on Xiaohongshu introducing their egg tarts made with Japanese Lan Wang eggs, I decided to give it a try.
I visited this Saturday afternoon and didn’t have to queue, and I bought a few items to taste.
Overall, this store’s desserts each have their own unique character, with rich flavors and creativity, and each one leaves a memorable impression. However, due to the generous portions, it is better for two people to share one egg tart, otherwise it can become overwhelming. The quality of the products in the store is also excellent, making them great for taking photos as keepsakes.
