The pan-fried buns at this restaurant have a very crispy skin, but they feel different from those commonly found in Taiwan. They are rich in broth and easy to spill, with plenty of green onions and the meat is not smelly, making them worth a try.
Location: Central, Hong Kong
This is also what I heavily anticipated before leaving for Hong Kong,
There were tons of IG posts and videos sharing about this place,
I saw so many recommendations,
So my expectations were extremely high.
As soon as I saw the long queue,
Fortunately, my friend told me we could take it to go,
So we took it to eat nearby and it was totally fine,
Plus, we didn’t have to wait, and could easily enjoy the delicious food despite the line.
🌟 Signature Pan-fried Soup Buns
The skin on the fried side is super crispy,
But it doesn’t have the texture commonly found in Taiwan.
The other side is thin, so when you pick it up,
The soup just gushes out like a faucet.
I ended up eating one that had no soup left in it 🤣🤣
Because it all leaked out onto the plate.
With the second one, I managed to enjoy a whole soup dumpling,
But it was really hot; the soup inside was very scalding.
You could easily burn yourself if you’re not careful.
The filling has a lot of green onion, and the meat doesn’t have any unpleasant odor,
Definitely worth recommending for people coming to Hong Kong.
By the way, this place is also a Bib Gourmand recommended restaurant! 👍
