This restaurant specializes in beef dishes, offering various options such as beef noodle salad and beef tongue noodles. The sauce is slightly spicy but not greasy, and the noodles have a good chewiness. The beef bone marrow soup and stir-fried beef eggs are rare items. Although the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the meals is worth the price.
The restaurant maintains the atmosphere of an old-fashioned Chinese eatery, with a slightly low ceiling but bright lighting, creating a simple and comfortable dining environment.
Although there may be a bit of a wait when there are many people, the food is served quickly, and the staff is friendly and efficient, able to swiftly manage the crowd.
The Jinchunfa Beef Noodle Shop at the Miramar branch is located in the area of Miramar in Dazhi, Taipei, near the Jianan Road MRT Station. It is one of the branches of the century-old Jinchunfa, specializing in a variety of beef dishes.
However, the reason for dining here today is that the crowd at the stinky tofu shop next door at Yuli Bridge has exploded, so we had to settle for this option instead.
Today, I enjoyed beef mixed noodles, beef tongue noodles, beef marrow soup, stir-fried beef balls, and a mixed platter, totaling 1,170 NT dollars.
Beef Mixed Noodles:
The star of the dish is the thickly sliced beef, which has some chewy parts but is not hard to bite.
The sauce is a mildly spicy base made from fermented broad beans, rich but not greasy, becoming more aromatic with each bite.
The base noodle used is a homemade white noodle, thick and chewy.
Beef Tongue Noodles:
The beef tongue is generous in portion and thickness.
It tastes tender yet slightly resilient, with the clear broth being refreshing and easy on the palate.
The noodles are the same as those in the mixed noodles.
Beef Marrow Soup:
This is a rare item, featuring marrow that is milky white, resembling a mixture of condensed soft tofu and gelatin. The soup has a gentle clear broth that leaves your lips feeling sticky after consumption.
Stir-Fried Beef Balls:
This is also a rare item – stir-fried bull testicles!
The mildly sour tomatoes and the necessary spiciness are meant to eliminate the unique odor of the beef balls.
The texture of the beef balls is hard to describe; they are like chicken gizzards but with more chewiness and springiness.
Mixed Platter:
An average happy platter, but I felt the portion was a bit small...
I may not order it next time.
The sauce bar offers homemade chili sauce, soy sauce, white vinegar, etc., which can be freely used according to preference.
Overall, it is a stable quality chain specializing in beef.
The self-service bar has neatly arranged bowls and chopsticks, and the sauces maintain the atmosphere of an old-fashioned Chinese restaurant. The ceiling is slightly low, but the lighting is bright, creating a simple and comfortable feeling.
Although there is a wait during busy times, the overall speed of service is quick, and the staff is friendly and efficient. The crowd at the stinky tofu shop next door is quickly managed here due to the efficiency.
If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the prices are on the higher side.
However, considering the quality of the dishes, it is definitely worth the price.
Highly recommended to everyone!
