The variety of dishes is rich, and the seafood, such as cuttlefish and scallops, is impressive. The meats, like pork neck and beef neck, are good. The ice cream is worth trying, and the coffee is on the bitter side but pairs well with desserts.
Located in the De Li Zhuang Hotel, the restaurant is grand and spacious, with a comfortable environment.
Due to insufficient staff, the wait time to order is about 10 minutes, and the table cleaning is not quick enough.
Mixed Student - What to Eat
This time I came to the Qianzheng Seafood Coffee Canteen on B1 of the Deluxe Hotel in Ximen. In this prime location, curry rice can be maintained at the low hundreds.
★ Meal:
Uniform price of 648 TWD
Soup base options:
Sesame Oil Chicken, Ginger Duck, Cabbage and Mushroom Chicken, Sichuan Spicy, Japanese Kombu
★ Thoughts:
It was my first time entering the Deluxe Hotel, and everything felt grand.
It was both attractive and spacious.
This time, I highly recommend:
Sliced Squid (with roe)
Taro (cooked until soft and fluffy)
Ice Cream (bucket) + Cookies (very crispy!)
Napa Cabbage
Pork and Beef Belly
Take your time eating; with the toppings, you can get really full.
Seafood:
→ A few slices of squid, which had roe; very surprising (highly recommended).
Scallops were large even after freezing, and still retained size after cooking.
Clams and oysters seemed to vanish after cooking.
Meat:
→ I recommend the belly cuts; the fat content is low, and they are not too tough.
On the other hand, the pork belly was a bit tougher.
Cake:
→ Standard type of cake.
→ The pudding ran out, and there’s a new pudding on top (it’s frozen, so you need to wait a little).
Fruits:
→ Average fruit.
Not particularly sweet or particularly sour.
Meat Sauce:
→ Went in at 11 AM and came out at 2 PM, but the meat sauce hadn't completely melted...
Ice Cream:
The bucket ice cream is much better than the one from the automatic machine, and the cookies in the freezer are very crisp; highly recommend.
Coffee:
It leans towards being bitter, suitable to pair with desserts.
For soup base, I chose Cabbage Chicken Soup, which had a lot of cabbage fibers...
Fortunately, the hot pot chopsticks are half metal, which is great.
★ Waiting Time:
About 10 minutes before I could order the soup base.
Due to insufficient staff, there were very few servers coming to check on the tables, and the speed of clearing empty plates was slow.
