The pork rib bento and the complimentary chicken leg from this restaurant in Chihshang have received great reviews. The pork ribs are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the chicken leg is juicy and delicious, and the rice is fragrant and chewy, maintaining its quality even when cooled down. The side dishes, such as cabbage and braised eggs, are simple, and the overall flavor profile is excellent.
The space inside the store is small, and there are limited seats for dining in. It may feel crowded during busy times, but the availability of free drinks and soups adds to the comfort of the dining experience.
This time I came to this bento place in Chishang, what attracted me first besides the signature pork rib was their incredibly generous promotion—get a free chicken leg for a five-star Google review! It’s like spending the price of one bento and instantly getting a double main course, making me feel so happy! 😭
Pork Rib Bento (100 TWD)
The pork ribs looked very ordinary (didn’t seem very appetizing), but once I took a bite, the crispy skin instantly wowed my taste buds. The meat inside was tender and not dry, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of saltiness—really delicious! 🤤
Paired with the signature white rice from Chishang Bento, the rice was fragrant and soft, and even when it got cold, it didn’t lose its quality.
The side dishes were quite simple, including cabbage, green beans, braised egg, pickled vegetables, and a piece of slightly sweet jerky. This little highlight added depth to the overall bento.
However, the amount of rice felt a bit small 🤣 compared to other places.
Free Chicken Leg as a Gift
The chicken leg they gave out was no less than usual (probably the regular fried chicken leg for the main dish). The skin was slightly crispy, and the meat was tender and juicy, with very tasty seasoning—great both by itself or paired with rice.
This free meal felt like a double main course bento, incredible value for the price.
The shop also offers free drinks and soup, but the seating inside is very limited—only about six seats, and it feels cramped when there are many customers.
