This red bean cake stall located in the Shangqing market is on the outer edge of the market near the parking lot. As soon as you walk in, you can quickly spot it, as it tends to have a small number of customers waiting at the entrance.

The stall doesn’t offer many fancy flavors; it just has the basics: red bean, cream, peanut, and sesame. They don’t make mixed flavors, like red bean cream. It’s quite a basic little shop. The taste and size are in line with what a $15 red bean cake should be; I usually go for the classic red bean and cream, which isn't too sweet and is quite enjoyable. For a girl with a small appetite, three might be enough. However, it’s a bit funny that when buying, there are no discounts for fewer than six items, so I often just buy one or two when passing by. Additionally, this stall tends to pack up fairly quickly; sometimes when I go past at six, they are already closing up, so business seems to be decent.

Personally, I have bought from them while they were packing up. Even though many shops in the evening market offer discounts on the last few items as they prepare to close, this red bean cake stall does not give any discounts, even if they have just a few cakes left to sell. 😆 In summary, it’s just an ordinary snack stall that serves something edible.
