The craft beer selection was abundant, and especially the Kyoto Dry and Ponto Black stood out. In terms of food, the salmon and king oyster mushroom cream pasta and the braised beef cheek tagliatelle were exceptionally delicious and worth noting for their flavor.
A wonderful space that combines an American vibe with the charm of Kyoto. It’s an attractive place near Kyoto Station that can be recommended to tourists.
I learned that there is a place in Kyoto where you can taste a variety of craft beers, so I went there 🍺.
The shop is called CRAFT BEER & KYOTO ITALIAN 100K, and it’s within walking distance from Kyoto Station 🚃.
Being a craft beer place, it has an American feel, but there are touches of Kyoto throughout 👘.
For drinks, I ordered:
Kyoto Dry 🍺
A dry pilsner with a crisp mouthfeel and refreshing aftertaste, created from uniquely selected malts and hops. It’s similar to familiar Japanese beers, and I think beer lovers would appreciate its flavor 🍺. Even for someone like me who doesn't typically drink beer, it tasted great 🍺.
Ponto Black 🍺
A porter with a rich aroma of roasted malt and a slight bitterness that expands in your mouth with deep richness and flavor. It was dark visually, and when tasted, the roasted aroma and slight bitterness hit with intensity, creating a completely new flavor experience‼️ I discovered a sophisticated taste of beer 🍺.
100K Potato Salad 🥔 - 649 yen
A pink potato salad was inside a monaka (rice cake shell) 🩷. I believe it was seasoned with shiba-zuke (pickled vegetables), and the flavor of powdered cheese and black pepper was delicious 🥔. I placed it onto the monaka shell and enjoyed it crispy and tasty ✨.
Salmon and Daikoku Shimeji Cream Pasta 🐟🍝
It was made with fettuccine 🍝. It contained plenty of salmon and large Daikoku shimeji mushrooms 🐟🍄. The cream was rich, and the cheese and black pepper coated the fettuccine well, with a strong salmon flavor. The Daikoku shimeji provided a satisfying texture, and it was super delicious 🍝. The pasta was chewy and incredibly tasty 🍝.
Braised Beef Cheek Tagliatelle 🐮
This one was also fettuccine 🍝. It was topped with beef cheek in a tomato-based sauce 🐮. The beef cheek was tender and very delicious 🐮. The tomato flavor was prominent and blended well with the pasta 🍅. The flavors of cheese and black pepper were also tasty 🧀. The onions were crisp and delicious 🧅. The pasta was chewy here too and incredibly tasty 🍝.
Fried Potatoes with Aioli Sauce 🍟
The freshly fried hot potatoes were super delicious 🍟. The aioli sauce was very tasty and made me keep eating ✨.
Of course, the beer was great, and the food was incredibly delicious 😍✨.
It was a wonderful place where you can experience the American vibe while enjoying Kyoto 🇺🇸👘.
Since it's also close to Kyoto Station, I highly recommend it for tourists visiting the area 👘.
