The potstickers from Si Hai You Long were once the dominant force in the potsticker world, but in recent years, the fillings have not been as generous as before. However, the potstickers from this branch in Taichung Renai General Hospital still feel substantial in filling, and the soy milk is quite fresh. It's a bit of a pity that they don't offer corn chowder.
It has been a while since I last had the potstickers from Four Seas Dragon. When Bafang was not yet open, Four Seas Dragon was the dominant player in the potsticker scene. Back then, a potsticker cost less than five dollars, and it was a small joy for me as an elementary school student during summer vacation.
However, in recent years, the potstickers from Four Seas Dragon have indeed not tasted as good as before. The meat inside is no longer as ample, and the dough seems to have been getting thinner. This particular potsticker shop located within Taichung Veterans General Hospital is relatively generous with their portions. Although the size is the same as those outside, the filling feels more substantial. As for the soy milk, it tastes quite fresh, without that overpowering bean flavor. Unfortunately, this branch does not sell corn chowder; otherwise, I think that would be a hidden gem on Four Seas Dragon's menu.
At the food court in the hospital, employees can get a 10% discount, and if you don’t eat much, you can have a meal for around 100 NT dollars, which is a great value. However, it mainly consists of carbohydrates, so friends who prefer a balanced diet may need to take note.
