The restaurant offers a rich selection of soups, including wellness chicken soup, noodle soup, and tossed noodles, with an average cost of less than 200 yuan for three people. The garlic chicken soup is rich in flavor and a favorite for garlic lovers, while the sesame oil chicken soup is somewhat ordinary. The dry tossed noodles and scallion chicken leg noodle soup also receive high praise.
The service was friendly and warm from start to finish. There are plenty of seats in the restaurant, and there is a takeout area for customers to fill out their orders, with both paper and picture menus available for selection.
✐ Dry Mixed Vermicelli $45
· One bowl is a serving for one person. I originally thought it would have a sesame oil flavor, but it only had a hint of scallion flavor; it looks light in color, but it’s not bland at all. The owner also mentioned that if we want it added to sesame oil chicken, they could adjust it to plain boiled vermicelli.
✐ Pan-fried Egg with Pickled Radish $65
· It’s pretty standard, just as one might expect it to be delicious.
[The owner is very considerate and lets you choose bone-in or boneless. I’m not sure how big the boneless chicken portion is, so I’ll have to try it next time!]
✐ Sesame Oil Chicken (Bone-in) $140
· What I anticipated most ended up being the most ordinary. The sesame oil flavor isn’t very strong, but it’s not bad either; next time I’ll save room for other items.
✐ Garlic Chicken (Bone-in) $140
· My Top 1 🏆 because I love garlic. Usually, anything with a strong garlic flavor is good. This soup is just like that, with lots of garlic pieces visible with just a spoonful; the broth is clear but very delicious. Unfortunately, the chicken in this dish is the toughest among the three; I’m not sure if it’s due to cooking time.
✐ Scallion Chicken Leg Noodle Soup (Thin) $130
· You can choose between thick or thin noodles. We picked the thin noodles as shown, which are quite chewy. True to its name, the scallions completely cover the soup. The chicken is tender and easy to separate from the bone. The owner reminded us that this dish has a strong pepper flavor, and as he said, winter is exactly when you need it to feel warm!
