The sandwich from Hong Rui Zhen has a sweet flavor, featuring the taste of Taiwanese mayonnaise. The ingredients, like ham and egg slices, are relatively thin, and the overall taste is good, but the price is on the higher side. The strawberry jam sandwich, on the other hand, uses cake as the base, with a balanced sweet and sour taste, and is also priced higher.
#Open During the New Year
During the New Year period, the operating hours are the same as usual! I visited on the afternoon of New Year’s Eve.
Although I didn’t buy anything this time, I have previously tried the sandwiches from Hong Rui Zhen. My evaluation of their sandwiches is that they’re okay; they have a sweet taste, reminiscent of Taiwanese-style mayonnaise with a generous amount. The ham and egg slices are very thin. Overall, I think they are tasty, but the prices are quite high. To be honest, there are many sandwiches that are better, so I wouldn’t recommend them that much.
This time, I specifically came to buy something, but the regular sandwiches were sold out, so I settled for a strawberry jam sandwich. This sandwich isn't made with toast; instead, it uses a cake that has a sponge cake-like texture as the base, paired with the sweet and sour taste of strawberry jam. It was okay to eat, but the price was high, so I wouldn’t recommend it either.
Overall, it’s actually a sandwich shop with decent flavors. However, if we talk about the "quantity" of ingredients, it’s not particularly generous. If tourists from other cities or countries come specifically for it, they can buy one to share and try out the flavors.
