A friend recommended "Simple Curry," located in Douliu, which specializes in Japanese curry. The dining environment is clean and comfortable, giving an overall relaxing vibe. I initially wanted to try their green curry, but it was already sold out, which was a bit disappointing, so I could only order their classic Japanese curry to see what it was like.

The curry itself is on the sweeter side, typical of Japanese home-cooked flavor, with no spiciness. However, there was chili powder available on the table, and after adding some, the overall flavor was indeed enhanced quite a bit. For me, a curry that has a bit of spiciness feels complete. Although the overall taste was good, it made me feel like this type of curry could be replicated using supermarket curry blocks, lacking some unique highlights that are specific to a restaurant. However, their plating was quite delicate, and the visual appeal of the dishes definitely added to the overall score.

Overall, this is a curry shop worth recommending, especially since the dining atmosphere is very comfortable. Although I didn't get to try the green curry this time, their service and attention to detail motivate me to return. Next time, I’ll make sure to go early to experience the charm of the green curry.
