The dishes made with ingredients from Osaka are plentiful, and each one is very delicious. In particular, the tuna, Mount Fuji salmon, and Naniwa black beef were exceptional.
The interior has counter seats and table seats, creating a lively atmosphere, and it is popular even on weeknights.
I heard that there is a restaurant in Sakai that uses many ingredients from Osaka to create various dishes, so I went to check it out✨
The restaurant is called Yamato Takeru and is located right near Sakai Station on the Nankai Main Line 🚃
There are counter seats and table seats available✨
For drinks, I chose:
Handmade syrup with mixed berry soda 🫐
Salty lychee & lemon soda 🍋
The mixed berry soda had a sweet and sour syrup that went perfectly with the refreshing soda, making it delicious🫐
The salty lychee & lemon soda had a strong lychee flavor, with lychee pieces in it, which made it refreshing and tasty🍋

Naniwa Black Beef, tender beef tendon and daikon stew🐮
Naniwa Black Beef is a brand of beef raised in Hannan City, and it is a rare beef only available at Michelin restaurants🐮
The beef tendon was simmered until tender, flavorful, and delicious🐮
Even the large cuts of meat were tender and disappeared quickly🐮
The daikon absorbed the broth well and was soft and tasty✨
It paired excellently with the green onions and shredded chili pepper, enhancing the flavors🌶️
Senshu-style fried fish 🐟
In Senshu, this fish is called "bacha."
The fluffy flesh was fried to a crisp perfection and was incredibly delicious🐟
Serious potato fries 🥔
Made from locally sourced potatoes from Izumisano🥔
They were steamed, roughly broken, and then fried to achieve a great texture and taste🥔
Senshu water eggplant and prosciutto carpaccio 🍆🐷 680
I’ve heard of the famous Senshu water eggplant, but this might have been my first chance to try it!!
The water eggplant was sweet and delicious even on its own🍆
When eaten with prosciutto, it was even tastier, and I enjoyed it in various ways with mayonnaise, onions, and sauce🍆🐷
Naniwa Black Beef, raw beef tripe🐮
I mixed it with spicy miso to eat🐮
Being fresh, the tripe had a good texture and was very delicious🐮
It paired well with the spicy miso, providing a nice kick🔥
I enjoyed the crunchiness of the green onions and cucumbers contrasting with the chewy tripe🥒
Naniwa Black Beef, seared meat topped with salmon roe🐮
It had an abundance of salmon roe ❤️
The seared meat was so delicious it melted in my mouth, and having it topped with the plentiful salmon roe, combined with sweet sauce and the pop of the roe, made it incredibly tasty😍
Beef tendon yakisoba🐮
With thick soba noodles and
Beef tendon
Cabbage
Green onions

It was a hefty portion‼️
The thick noodles were perfectly coated in a sweet and savory sauce, which was absolutely delicious✨
The beef tendon was huge, and the melt-in-your-mouth pieces were delectable🐮
The crunchiness of the cabbage and green onions was delightful✨
I could change up the flavors with picked ginger and mayonnaise, allowing me to enjoy it until the end✨
Even on a weekday night, there were groups of customers and passersby coming in, showing that it is already a popular restaurant✨
It’s delicious, so it's no wonder it’s becoming popular✨
It’s a fantastic place that is both delicious and reasonably priced‼️
I think the menu changes with the seasons, so I would love to visit again if I have the chance to go to Sakai‼️
