Buffet | NT$1,690-NT$1,860

AI Spot Summary

The meals are diverse and plentiful, ranging from fresh scallops to hand-rolled sushi. The cooked food section, featuring dishes like cumin-grilled pork belly, goose soup noodles, and garlic clam soup, also performs excellently. The desserts are particularly creative, such as the maple bacon milk sundae, and the overall quality exceeds expectations. The pizza needs to be baked on-site, and the sea urchin and scallop, along with the smoked salmon cream puff, are also worth trying.

The restaurant atmosphere is like a nightclub, combining sound and light effects. The space is spacious, with drapes and music adding a sense of drama, making it suitable for birthday celebrations or gatherings. Being newly opened, there are many people, and you need to queue. Once inside, there is a simple introduction.

The staff is enthusiastic, and the bartender provides professional cocktail services, but the assembly of the waffles is relatively slow, and there are occasional oversights.

🔹Holiday Lunch 1690 + 10%
🔸Pizza Area
Choose your desired flavor, tell the staff, and it will be baked and delivered to you within a minute. Pizza is best enjoyed hot!

🔹Japanese-style Small Dishes (a selection of highlighted foods)

  • Sea Urchin and Scallop Bao: A Japanese-style bun filled with sea urchin and scallop, served in a small portion that does not have a fishy taste.
  • Smoked Salmon Cream Puff: The filling is smoked salmon mixed with cream cheese, with a hint of dill aroma. It's small and won't take up much stomach space.
  • Scallop Maple Syrup Pancakes: Pancakes topped with maple syrup and perfectly seared scallops create a nice combination of sweet and salty. It reminded me a bit of the pancake burger that McDonald's had before! This dish is also a highlight and often has a long queue. However, when I finally got to the front, I noticed that there was a chef assembling pancakes and beef, but because of the assembly process and unfamiliarity with the workflow, the speed was slow. The pancake chef even had to assist with the assembly, resulting in only 2-3 pancakes left to be cooked before starting a new batch. Just as the queue was finally starting to move, it began to form again.
The chef assembling my dish even forgot to give me the beef; my plate only had garnishes on it. I had to ask and found out I didn’t get any beef, which was a downside.

🔸Soup Section

  • Truffle Cream Clam Soup: This soup is white and has a subtle truffle flavor. It's smooth to drink, but since I shared it with a friend, it did feel a bit rich towards the end.
  • The garlic clam soup from the sobering soup area is cooked fresh! The chefs do not cook multiple pots at the same time; at most, there are 2-3 pots. I think this is just right, as the clams are very fresh and not overcooked, making it perfect for sobering up. The only downside is that I found some sand at the bottom of the bowl later on.

🔹Dessert Area

  • All the desserts look super delicious! There’s also the recent popular sweet donut, and a co-branded ice cream from Nyan Tail House, with a total of two flavors. The one that left the deepest impression was the Maple Bacon Milk Sundae, topped with bacon that tasted sweet like dried pork.

🔸Alcohol Section
There’s a bartender mixing drinks on-site, and there’s a menu in front to order directly. There are also a few non-alcoholic options. There’s an area where you can self-serve beer, and surprisingly the cups are chilled! At the entrance, you can find red wine, white wine, plum wine, and sake, and of course, there’s dedicated staff to serve you! You can directly ask for what you want, and they will also proactively inquire about your preferred flavor, whether you want something sweeter or more sour.

🧸 The new opening had a lot of people, and by 11:15, many were already in line. After entering, there’s a short distance to walk, and the staff provides a brief introduction to your seat, which explains why it takes some time to wait for a table outside.

🧸 The event on the table sign allows you to tag the official account on Instagram to receive a coaster. There is no limit on the number of accounts per table, so if one person has two accounts and shows them, they can get two coasters! The quality of the coasters is pretty good, and they are double-sided, but they are made of plastic and do not absorb water.

🎭 URBAN PARADISE Xinyi Store
📅 2025/07/26 (Saturday) Lunch
🏠 5th Floor, No. 11, Songgao Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City

🥂 The grand opening attracted a huge crowd; I arrived at 11:15 and already saw a long line, almost a centipede 🐛. I didn't get seated until just before noon. The atmosphere was truly an explosion of sound, light, and taste, very much like dining at a buffet in a nightclub 🪩🎧.

🍸 The slightly tipsy vibe is real, with bartenders mixing drinks on-site and a vending machine selling beverages. My favorite was the "Urban Paradise," which features pineapple coconut milk—beachy vibes but with a very light boozy taste. The scallops were definitely worth trying, and the hand rolls and sashimi were quite fresh, with many highlights in the hot food area.

🍖 Dishes like cumin-roasted pork belly, corn chowder version of chawanmushi, "Happy Town" goose noodle soup, garlic clam soup, and salt-grilled Matsusaka pork with spicy pineapple sauce surpassed expectations overall 👏🏻.

🍰 The dessert area is quite creative with options like cinnamon sugar-glazed donuts, torched lemon tarts, and a collaboration ice cream from "Nuan Wei Jia." 🍦 The maple bacon milkshake is a perfect balance of maple-flavored bacon and vanilla ice cream—sweetness just right.

📸 The overall atmosphere is characterized by elaborate decor and play of light and shadow. The space is spacious with enough distance between tables, and the curtains create a dramatic feeling. The music also matches the rhythm, making it perfect for birthdays or gatherings ✨.

💰 Holiday lunch is NT$1690 + 10%. There are a total of nine major dining areas (Ocean Bar, Breeze, Merriment, Viva, Happy Town, Fragrance, Crisp, Wonderland, Oasis), where you can enjoy the atmosphere as well as the creativity ✨.
