The dishes are diverse, but the flavors are average. Some appetizers, like the barley miso with water chestnuts, are impressive, but the main courses, such as the Boston lobster, are over-seasoned and mostly masked by garlic flavor. The steak with garlic slices is quite good. The pace of serving is relatively fast, which affects the overall dining experience.
The restaurant is located halfway up the hill, in a standalone building with private booths and long tables, making it very suitable for dates or gatherings. It features a Japanese courtyard style and has a pleasant environment.
The service is average, and note that the pace of food service is too fast, which may affect the dining rhythm. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance to avoid queuing.

Let's eat!
Couple's set menu 💰3600
Kaiseki five-course platter:
Yuzu paired with salmon roe (no added flavor, which instead highlights the fishiness of the roe)
Red guava paired with caviar (also no added flavor)
Fresh shrimp paired with—I forgot (it was okay)
Half a passion fruit
Water chestnuts paired with barley miso, this dish was really excellent! Highly recommended—
A flavor I had never tried before, very well blended and not jarring.
Truffle shark fin soup:
The red sauce on the shark fin was sour and paired well with the truffle, quite appetizing!
Boston lobster with butter sauce
Hokkaido scallops with caviar
Live abalone with sea urchin sauce
(A common high-end ingredient combination, standard fare; I felt the seasoning for the lobster was not great, mostly overpowered by garlic flavor, so I wouldn't recommend it.)
Filet mignon:
Standard fare; I must say that the steak with garlic slices is awesome.
Organic tamago rice bowl: soft-boiled egg with red quinoa rice
While I was eating this dish, the dessert came out quickly, so I was eating in a rush 🥹
Seasonal vegetables: Dragon beard vegetable
Other dishes were still being finished when they came to the table 😅
Dessert: Pan-fried banana with ice cream
I really don’t like hot bananas.
Thoughts: As expected, bloggers can't be trusted 😂 I heard this is supposedly the Chiayi version of Chamonix; the overall style and price are quite similar. Overall, it felt rather average, with only one appetizer that used barley miso leaving a special impression. The pace of serving was also too fast; the entire meal took less than 2 hours, and as I was still eating one dish, the dessert was already served.
If you prioritize the meal: Overall quite average, you could visit if you are in Chiayi.
If you prioritize the environment: Japanese garden style.
If you prioritize parking: Cars and motorcycles can park right at the entrance.
If you prioritize restrooms: Separate for men and women.
If you prioritize waiting: Reservations are recommended.
If you prioritize service: Average.
If you focus on value for money: 🌟🌟🌟
